Beam.add_blank_extension

Beam.add_blank_extension(start, end, joint_key=None)

Adds a blank extension to the beam.

startfloat

The amount by which the start of the beam should be extended.

endfloat

The amount by which the end of the beam should be extended.

joint_keyint

The key of the joint which required this extension. When the joint is removed, this extension will be removed as well.
